Hey, I'm Becca.
I created Butterfly Recovery because sometimes you don't need another person telling you to change your whole life. Sometimes you need somewhere to land while you figure out how to get through the day you're already in.
This space is for women navigating sobriety, healing from trauma, and finding their way back to themselves. Those are things I know intimately. Not from watching from the sidelines, but from living through them.
I write honestly about sobriety, PTSD, healing, and starting over through my publication, Broken Creature. That's where the more personal stories live: the messy parts, the questions, and the things that can be hard to put into words.
Butterfly Recovery is where I share practical things you can keep close. A checklist before a night out. A sentence to borrow when you need a boundary. A small plan for a day that has become too much.
Some of what I share comes from things that worked for me. Some of it is a resource I've created for this space. None of it is a test of how well you're healing. You get to decide what fits your life.
I don't have all the answers. I don't think healing has to look pretty to count, either. My hope is that you find something here that makes your next step feel a little less lonely.
A resource. A reminder. A small beacon in the dark.
You are welcome here, exactly as you are today.
Becca
Butterfly Recovery shares lived-experience resources. It is not therapy, medical care, addiction treatment, detox guidance, or crisis support.
